Senior Advisors

David Tobasco

Senior Construction Advisor. Five decades of building, now on the owner's side.

David Tobasco is Aventra's senior construction advisor, with nearly five decades of field and executive leadership in construction. His expertise spans contractor schedules and budgets, means and methods, quality standards on site, and the assessment of troubled projects and acquisitions.

David joined Dick Corporation in Pittsburgh in 1977 and spent his entire career with the firm and its successor, DCK Worldwide, rising from the trades to Vice President of Construction. As Project Director and Project Executive, he delivered manufacturing plants, power generation facilities, hospitals, retail, educational, and commercial buildings before leading the firm's luxury hospitality work across the Caribbean, Bermuda, and the United States.

His resort portfolio includes some of the most demanding hospitality construction in the region:

  • The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas. Post-hurricane renovation of 180 keys across six buildings, including façades, roofs, and MEP infrastructure.
  • The Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Caroline Bay, Bermuda. A new 77-key hotel with 35 branded residences, two presidential villas, and a central utility plant.
  • Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley, Calistoga. A new 83-room resort with 20 private villas, built around a working six-acre vineyard and winery.
  • Rosewood Little Dix Bay, Virgin Gorda. Reconfiguration of 90 keys into 78, new villas, and the rebuild of The Beach Grill.
  • Four Seasons Resort Nevis. Renovation of more than 100 suites, the Grand Ballroom, and restaurant and pool facilities.
  • Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas. Renovation of the resort's 23-story towers and signature bridge.
  • Half Moon, Montego Bay, Jamaica. A new 57-room, two-restaurant and spa expansion, with seawalls and beach replacement.

Most recently, he served as the owner's representative on Grand Reserve in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
